Frederick Evan Wyatt
Criminal charges of manslaughter were filed against Captain Le Médec, pilot Mackey, and Frederick Evan Wyatt, the Royal Canadian Navy's Chief Examining Officer who had permitted Mont-Blanc to enter the harbor. The preliminary hearing in April 1918 discharged Wyatt immediately and Le Médec for lack of evidence but committed Mackey for trial.
